The authentic Penang Road Famous Laksa that everyone is familiar with has a history of 52 years since its establishment in 1970 at Joo Hooi Cafe [third generation] which has attracted countless locals and tourists to come and taste it. But unfortunately, Joo Hooi cafe was taken over by the owner of Teochew cendol since early 2016. The authentic Penang Road Famous Laksa actually started in January 2016 no longer in Joo Hooi Cafe and it had moved to the shop lot further down the street of Lebuh Keng Kwee. Please note that there is still a stall selling laksa inside Joo Hooi Cafe now which belongs to the owner of Teochew cendol with the name of "Famous Penang Road Laksa" which was created to confuse customers. π Location: No 5 Lebuh Keng Kwee, 10100, Georgetown, Penang π± Contact number: 016-446 0543 π Operating Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30 pm Wednesday - OFF Saturday to Sunday 9am-5.30pm

Authentic Penang taste. I prefer those with soup/sauce, so i can heat us easily as i like to eat it hot just like when you are there.
